…So go out and DO something. If you want to stay fit, stay active.
I woke up this morning with the intention of exercising but the soreness in my arms, chest, and back suggested I take a rest day instead.
Well, if you insist.
Rest days/weeks are important. I know from experience.
BUT.
I’ll do something. Probably a little walking around town, and some swimming somewhere local. Mobility later tonight.
Today will include green trees, cold spring fed water, clear skies, and warm sun. Luckily, I live in a city where there are plenty of opportunities to be healthy and stay fit.
The NUMBER ONE way to stay fit in Austin is to ENJOY THE OUTDOORS and all Austin has to offer. Hike, bike, swim, paddle, run, row, play at one of the many parks, and “not having people to do stuff with” is NOT an excuse.
(As my sales manager would say, with unyielding eye contact and a slight eyebrow raise)…”There are two types of people in this world: there are people who make excuses, and there are people who get things done.
Oh, past lectures resurfacing. But I can think of a few examples:
– a few MeetUp groups
– health clubs .
– volunteer organizations
– intramural sports leagues
The list goes on.
So I’m headed out so time to lather up in some sunscreen.
You stay classy, San Diego.
What do you plan to do to incorporate healthy living and physical activity in your day?
